About the Author

Christopher Corson is a Vietnam-era veteran, writer, and actor whose creative work bridges history, storytelling, and the human experience of war. With four generations of military service in his family, Corson carries a profound connection to the sacrifices of soldiers. His father flew seventy-five missions in a P-51 Mustang during World War 2, his daughter rose to the rank of colonel, and his mother lost a brother in combat. These experiences—along with his own service—shaped the empathy and authenticity that define his work.

Corson’s novel, Tiger One: The Dragon of War, draws on years of research to illuminate the life of Kurt Knispel, the highest-scoring tank ace of WW2. More than a war story, it is a meditation on the transformation of young men thrust into unimaginable circumstances—boys hardened into soldiers, leaders, and survivors. Like All Quiet on the Western Front, the novel explores not only the clash of armies but also the quiet courage, conscience, and cost of WW2 Eastern Front battles that ripple through generations.

An accomplished actor, Corson has appeared in more than 27 films, television shows, and commercial projects, both in co-starring roles and featured roles and stunt work. His credits include 1883, Landman, Bass Reeves, Walker, 1923, Arena of the West, Doc Holiday 2, String Machine Madness, Lady Outlaw, and Attack of the Sea Titan. He also rode horseback for a week in Wyoming/Montana and wrote, directed, and produced the 27-minute documentary Spring Cattle Drive 2022, which earned third-place laurels at a San Antonio film festival.

Whether on the page, on screen, or behind the camera, Corson’s work reflects his lifelong commitment to authentic storytelling and to honoring the transformation of ordinary young men and women asked to endure extraordinary trials. His work pays tribute to the real-life WW2 tank battles and the courage of soldiers like Kurt Knispel, a Tiger Tank Ace. He continues to live and create in Austin, Texas.
